Dr. Stephen Lewis joined the practice of Dr. William Steen in 1987 following the completion of his optometric training at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Lewis completed high school in El Dorado, Arkansas and attended the University of Mississippi.While in training at Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Lewis participated in two volunteer humanity trips to Belize and Costa Rica, Central America. Dr. Lewis has written and lectured extensively on the treatment and care of glaucoma based on his first hand knowledge of the disease.
Dr. Lewis is a member of the American Optometric Association and is therapeutically licensed to diagnose and treat ocular disease by the Louisiana State Board of Optometry. In 1997 Louisiana Governor Mike Foster appointed Dr. Lewis to serve a five year term on the State Board of Optometry. This five member board governs the practice of optometry in Louisiana. |

| He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Louisiana State Association of Optometrists, having served as President in 1995. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Southwest Council of Optometry. The Southern College of Optometry has appointed Dr. Lewis, who serves as an adjunct faculty member, as an Ambassador to the school. |

| Dr. Lewis and his wife Liz live in Bossier City, LA with their two sons Landon and Trenton. |
